Everyday Problems - Gender inequality
Today I'd like to address something that has come up in conversation quite a bit. Gender inequality is something that is present in all areas of life but is a huge problem concerning the workplace of many around the globe.
In an ideal world we would like to know that we have rights and we should be treated equally regardless of any factor - This is the case in most western countries but in reality we do not have this luxury just yet. What you might not know is a woman in the exact same corporate position as a man would receive a lower salary due to her gender.
Discrimination of sexes is a reoccurring habit that has been happening for decades or even centuries for that matter. Don't get me wrong - we certainly have come a long way but yet we have not conquered the rightful life we all as individuals deserve. It was only in the year 1920 when women were actually allowed to vote in the U.S. - most people today would think this is completely preposterous and others would still think it was a mistake.
People are waking up. People are beginning to see the true faults of our species and some dedicate their entire lives to the cause and still get nowhere. It's about time we stop wasting time and allow every human to live freely as they wish to - whether you are a female, bisexual, sexual just because you damn well want to be sexual, a gnome collector, a business woman, a stay at home mom or simply a living, breathing, human being - equality should not be fought for - it should be present from the day you were born.
Make the mental change and help this species break away from ridiculous "norms". This is the 21st century, we need to stand with each other, we need to unite! Only by uniting and trying to fix the problems within ourselves can we start fixing the world we live in to create a better place - a better world for next generations to thrive in. We must stop viewing others as less equal purely based on their gender. It is an absurd mindset and it will only bring sadness and anger to others which in turn will be put on someone else and so the vicious circle goes on. It is about time we stop degrading each other and help build each other up so we can reach new heights together, male and female together as one!
Let's go out there and help make the world a better place to live in for everybody not just ourselves.
