Her betrayal was her funeral
Jonathon was a taxi driver. He earned quite handsome money and thought it was enough for his family. He had his beloved wife and two children: one daughter and one son. The daughter was 5 and started school. And the son was only 9 months old. It was a happy family; at least it seemed to be.
That day when he returned home from work, he noticed something unusual. He saw that his children were crying and didn't see their mom. Then he tried to pacify them and asked the daughter what was going on. He also asked her where was their mother. But the girl could say nothing as returning from school she only found her crying brother.
Then Jonathon started looking for his wife. He searched all of the rooms upstairs and then went to the kitchen. There on the kitchen table, he noticed a note. He was a bit scared as he felt something was wrong. When he picked the note up, he recognized that it was his wife's handwriting. She wrote:
I am tired of being broke. I am tired of you and the children. I met a man one month ago and he showed me the light of life. He has got enough money to give me the life I've been dreaming of.
Take care of children, but never come looking for me. I don't want to know anything about you.
Jonathon's heart was broken. He stood still with the note and was speechless. The woman he loved left him and their little children. His eyes were filling with tears. But he could not let himself shade a drop of it because his children were watching him. His little girl came to him and asked him where their mommy was. He replied that her mother was not going to live with them any longer. He consoled the girl and said that the most important thing was that they had got each other.
And from then, the family started to live without a wife and a mother. But Jonathon was not irresponsible. That day undoubtedly changed his life and now he was getting up early to cook for kids. He cleaned the house and did everything his wife used to do before. He simultaneously became a dad and a mom.
After breakfast, he made his daughter ready and then dropped her at school. He brought the latest boy with him to work. He was a taxi driver and easily could bring his child anywhere he went. However, he had a regular customer- Alessia. When she saw Jonathon's little son in the car, she asked him about it. And gradually, she came to know what had happened with the family.
She really got attached to the baby boy and played the whole time she was in the car. With time she and Jonathon grew closer and she started to come to his house. She had a good time with his children. She played with them and read storybooks for the girl. The children also liked her very much and enjoyed the time with her. Jonathon looked at them and felt peace inside. Moreover, he was getting help from her with the kids.
Soon Jonathon and Alessia realized that it was love and became a real family. The children were very happy with the wedding and thinking that they were finally getting a good mom. Alessia always supported her husband in everything. And soon he managed to open up a business of his own.
Years have gone by and a woman appeared on their doorstep. Though Alessia never saw her face to face, she had seen her photo. It was Jonathon's ex-wife. So, she was shocked a bit scared. And the ex-wife became angry seeing her. She asked Alessia who she was. She was not in the condition of replying. And then the daughter came there. She also could see her mom but didn't care for her. She treated her as an unknown person. She said, "Mommy!" and her biological mom thought she could recognize her. But she was wrong. She said to Alessia, "Mommy, come, the cookies are ready! I've made them for you"
Alessia was about to leave and go with the daughter. Then her husband came and saw his ex-wife. Seeing him, she said that she had gone there to give them a fresh start. But Jonathon had no place for her and clearly told her that she was late and then suggested to her to leave for her dream. He reminded her that her dream was a part of her life and they were not anymore. She had died that same day she betrayed with the children and with him.
