There is no truth nor lies, only facts or reality?

There are no truth or lie, only facts.

Hi steemitians!! First of all if you are reading this I wanna thank you for your time :))..

Today I have watched an episode of an anime series entitled ''Bleach''  there a character named Aizen who was the antagonist of the story said '' There are no truth or lies, only facts. The fact becomes a lie when it is not in favor of someone and becomes the truth when it is in favor to them.''

hmm, is there no truth or lies only facts? I googled the meaning of fact and it said '' a thing that is indisputably the case'' and lie's meaning is ''  an intentionally false statement'' and truth's meaning is '' that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality''.

     

Fact is synonymous to reality, it is certainty, absolute or actuality. If Fact = Reality = Truth then Lie = Deception. But the truth for us may be a lie for the others and a lie for us may be the truth to the others.

So is the statement made by Aizen true?

I think what Aizen said more or less made sense. There are only facts or reality, we humans just put label on it and that's when it becomes a lie or the truth. There are also cases where even though we know it's the reality we choose not to believe it.

So for me, a reality or an event being a truth or lie is the choice of each of us. We have different beliefs and principles so your truth may be not a truth for me, your lie may be not a lie for me. 

But respecting someones opinions is one of my principles. 

So what do you think about this?
