He was an Olympic gold medalist and captured heavyweight championship 3 times and defended this title 19 times.
Due to outspokenness on the issue of religion, race, and politics, he became a controversial personality and he also through his Olympic medal in the ocean.
At the age of 18, he captured two National Golden Gloves title and two Amateur Athletic Union national titles and 100 victories against 8 losses.
You have been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for refusing to go to war and also deprived of International Heavyweight champion and boxing's license.
After this, from 1974 to 1978 and from 1978 to 1979 he has the title of International heavyweight champion.
This great boxer was retired in 1983. He was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award in 1987. In 1999 he was awarded by the great sporting figure of 20t the century.
