Corn Harvest in Friends Garden
Good evening steemit friends, this evening I will share about the corn harvest in my best friend's garden. The corn farmers in Nisam Aceh, need buyers to accommodate the corn harvest.
currently the corn of farmers in Nisam is only piled up because no buyer can accommodate thousands of tons of corn, because for now the price of corn is cheap, my friend says thousands of tons of corn from farmers only pile up and are threatened with being eaten by caterpillars if not harvested.
Because, the corn planted by farmers is not corn that can be consumed by residents but corn for animal feed ingredients, therefore the farmers' corn is only for animal feed ingredients, he said, farmers need buyers so they get money.
Corn farmers do the harvest, but the results are not satisfactory because of the low price, and the following harvest corn.
Is there a way to remove the husks and dry the corn so that it can be sold or used later when there isn't so much corn on the market?
there is a way, but it takes a long process, the method is that the children of corn we dry and we make the seeds again, and can be sold on the market.
Farmers here take all of the kernels off the cob and put them in huge storage facilities that have heat and arms that stir the corn while it is drying. Once it is dried properly they can store it until the price goes back up. The price is always low at harvest time
