The Story of Kelsi
I was born January 29, 1997 (making me about 21 years old), in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And as you can tell, I was already the coolest member of the family.
My father was a student at Louisiana State University when I was born so, I got to spend the first year of my life living on campus! I even got to watch him graduate.
After my adventures at LSU, we moved to Houston, TX and I got a little sister out of it too. We had no family out here so, to be close to family, my mother used to drive us girls out to Lake Charles, Louisiana to hang out with our two cousins who happened to be our age. And we’d go out to Slidell, Louisiana to hang at my grandmother’s on my dad’s side!
When I was four, I had to undergo spinal fusion and it put me in a halo for months on end. But, I obviously made the best of it. Thanks to this surgery, I’m not paralyzed from the neck down!
When I was around five years old, my parents filed for a divorce. Their marriage was a mess and so was some other things. My father ended up getting custody of both Taylor and I.
After a couple years of it just being us three, my dad introduced us to this woman and her two daughters. They are four and seven years younger than I am. I instantly bonded with the youngest one. We still connect in ways the other two don’t understand.
Not even a year later, we got to be the flower girls for my father’s wedding to their mother. We were the cutest in our pink dresses. And we were finally sisters legally.
And with the sisters, I got more cousins too! We are all close together.
In high school, I went to dances with friends....
... and dedicated a dance to a friend who passed.
After graduating from high school, I got an amazing job at Disegno Studio as an Administrative Assistant.
I had the opportunity to meet legends. And tons of new friends!
And I went to some awesome concerts..
I am blessed to be here and to experience what I have. Have a great day!
