My thoughts about Trump from a non-political perspective
Trump made me realize more clearly than ever, that I'm a person with a very strong sense of righteousness and moral values. I don't know why I am like that. Since I was a child my parents never talked to me much on topics related to moral values or ethics. Mostly they just wanted me to get good grades and have a successful career. And we never went to the church so that was not the reason either. So I guess I'm just born like that.
To me there's always a clear sense of righteousness in my mind. White is white, black is black, there is NO grey area in between. When I saw the news about Trump’s “locker room talk”, it gave me a clear sense that this is not a decent gentleman that we are talking about here.
I don’t understand how people can surpass that and saying that all man talk like that. Well that’s just not the case for me according to my life experience. My dad would never talk like that. All the male in my family, my granddad, my uncles, nobody would ever talk like that. And seem to me that Mr. Obama wouldn’t be someone would ever talk like that either.
For someone to talk like that, it’s clear that he doesn’t have very good moral values. He’s not ethical and doesn’t have much sense of righteousness. He’s not a good role model as a father, and he’s not a good husband. So he’s not even a fit leader for his family. How can someone like that lead a country?
To know that he said those things and still vote for him, that shows that a lot of people just don’t have a very clear sense of moral values. Those “locker room talks” doesn’t strike any alarms for them. It’s not important to them.
But it’s just so hard for me to agree with that. Where does people’s sense of righteousness gone? Does moral values still matter to people?
I think there’s nothing wrong that a lot of people want a better life but that’s not at the expense of ignoring the basic moral values. If someone doesn’t even have a good sense of righteousness there’s no way that I would vote for him as a leader no matter what.
Well that’s just me. To be a decent human being with high moral values is the most important thing to me. What are your thoughts about it? What does moral values and righteousness mean to you? Please share with me your view in the comments. Thanks.
There certainly is a difference between what many people portray and what they actually are like.
Integrity and character are revealed and confirmed when we think that nobody is watching.
These days, there are cameras and microphones everywhere, but people's pride still gets in the way.
It's a good thing for you personally but I guess it wouldn't be so good for others if you had the power to impose your "righteousness" on them.
And judging by this statement of yours:
I certainly wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of your "righteousness".
