Hike To The Delicate Arch (Utah)
Yay! Hiking! After a night of drinking, Which isn't something I often do. We did not tackle this hike prepared.
I forgot the sunblock and water; We didn't have breakfast. And The sun was coming out. Heck, I didn't even wear my hiking boots. So I was wearing normal walking shoes.
How the heck does someone get so forgetful? Lol
Luckily, This hike is pretty easy. Mostly flat ground. But the way to the arch was a lot of uphill.
There were moments where I felt exhausted because I was so dehydrated.
People Everywhere!
There were a lot of people hiking this trail with us, But not as many as I would have expected. That was the perk of doing it on a Thursday in March; It wasn't as busy.
It seemed as though a lot of people gave up halfway through the hike; There was one area that was pure rock. And it was a hill. It was super cool and exciting walking up a flat rock hill! But it was steep, Hot and wore us out!
By the time we got 75% up to the hill we had to stop for a moment.
The Trail Got Scary Later On!
As we neared the Arch, There was a cool flat, Rock pathway for us to walk across towards the arch. It was freaky. Especially if you are afraid of heights like I am!
The Arch Was Breathtaking
And worth the effort! I was starting to wonder where all the people we kept seeing ahead of us were going, And we found them! Many sat on the rocks near a cliff to stare at the arch.
It was incredible how it seemed to be "misplaced" there.
I’m still looking out for my dictionary to check the meaning of hiking..Great pictures. Those arcs were they naturally formed it they were built?
Yes they are naturally there :) Through Erosion.
Oh great! Thanks for sharing
Very brave hiking after a night of drinking. Looks amazing though fab pictures and well done for doing it :)
Thank you hehe :)
@kaylinart the Cool Thing about this Arch is that it is on a couple of US Coins. The Washington quarter we use in change in everyday commerce and the Silver Washington Quarter 5 Ounce Collector Coin..................Beautiful shots that you took of this hike.
Wow thank you! I haven't seen it on coins yet! Hehe Mostly license plates. I'll have to pay more attention.
The other day you made me feel a magic touch. Thank you so much. Then he started to see that post. You are my idol...
And can I also use it to draw this photo? I like it so much. Looks great. :)
You sure can hehe :) Thank you so much you are so sweet!
I will do this lovingly. I am very happy. You are sweat too. :)
Hehe :) So sweet.
And I told you in a post without you asking. I hope this does not create a problem.:)
Wow, yeah I would have been scared of the heights too! But how beautiful. How was the climate? Hot? Chilly?
Right? It was a bit hot. But not as bad as It would be during the summer.
Such a beautiful hike, amazing views, looks like something from a sci-fi movie when they go to a desert planet haha! Also, silly to be drinking the night before a big hike. You can blame forgetting things on that hehe.
Right? It was weird. I kept asking my friend if we were in a videogame lol.
RIght? Hhaha XD I don't always make the best decisions.
Lol if only we were able to be in simulated, real life versions of video game/tv show/movie worlds! How amazing would it be? Hehe
Oh I am sure you make plenty of good decisions :)
But drinking before hiking in the desert isn't! :P
Wow? right? that would be so cool! I can't wait for stuff like that. hehe.
Yeah thats a really bad one lol.
kegaitan yang ekstrim, perlu jantung yang kuat @kaylinart
