Taste Test 23 Wines During French Marathon
The annual Marathon du Médoc in Bordeaux, France is right around the corner! It consists of a 26.2 mile race with stops along the way to indulge in samplers, entrées, and wine. This event takes place every September, and includes the sampling of 23 different wines throughout the trail!
As participants travel past vineyards and country homes, they will have the opportunity to try a variety of cheeses, ice cream, and even oysters.
To enter the race, members must pay a $102-application fee, and be at least 21 years old on 8 September.
It takes about 6.5 hours to complete the marathon, and athletes are encouraged to wear a costume.
A maximum of 8,500 runners can participate, and are encouraged to take their time throughout the race.
