The secret for being successful before you turn 30
When you’re in your 20s, you go from a job to another until you discover what your passion is, you fall in love for the first time and you might even find your soulmate, you learn to enjoy the little things in life.
This instability makes it a beautiful period of your life, but what are you going to do after you turn 30? Before that, you work for yourself and, most of the time, you avoid problems instead of solving them, so what should you do when the responsabilities that come with maturity arrive?
Obviously, there is no perfect, secret recipe that can learn you how to deal with life in such a way that you can be happy and wealthy, but what you can do is learn from mistakes: yours, and other’s. Here are a few stories of people who turned their mistakes into life lessons that can hopefully help and inspire you.
If in your 20s you liked to have fun and spend all your money without thinking about it twice, after you turn 30 it’s time to start saving some. Don’t wait until tomorrow, nor for the next year.
You should start saving money right now! I heard a story of a woman who had two kids and a very little payment at her job, but she managed to save some money every day, so when she was 50 she was financially stable for the first time in her life.
Besides that, another important aspect of life is your health, because success means more than financial stability. We all have a tendency to say:
I’m going to start eating healthier, but tomorrow.
Next Monday I’m going to the gym.
I’ll quit smoking…someday.
We all know the damage we’re doing, but we never stop because we think that we have enough time. The thing is, we have to understand that an illness doesn’t appear overnight, our body doesn’t shut down out of nowhere. Out health gets damaged over time, so we have to start taking care of it right now, before it’s too late.
Lastly, being successful also implies being happy. Judging by the experience of many people over 30, one of the best things you can do for yourself and you happiness is to create healthy relationships with people who deserve your time and attention.
Life is very short and your time is precious, so you should avoid offering it to people who don’t appreciate you for who you are, or to a person who doesn’t make you happy. Keep those who you care about close to you, those people who bring out the best in you, and also don’t forget to show them that you love and appreciate them.
Hardwork , honesty and good plan will give me success cos i have confidence on mine
I ll give you a simpler answer...
Essentially, all they do is (in that order):
True story...
Really true, never give up man!
oh man now 30 seems so close....
Time passes so fast. It's already February garghhh
Yes man, we have to be happy!
How awesome is the way you articulate thoughts into engineering concrete solutions. I am 22 right now but it is a great tike to read this. Your idea of "happiness" has burst the stress bubble i have been carrying on my shoulders. Lol. I used to have revolutionary ideas in my teens but yeah i am a big admirer of utilitarianism now(like why dont they teach us that in 7th grade?) and why then when we have done much harm to ourselves? Haha jk. I am more than content to have read your article just in time. It strengthend a belief I was trying to hold on to for quite some time. Thanks for that
Thank you so much for reading my article!
