RESPECT

Respect? Yes respect.Respect is something everyone loves to uphold.There is no technical definition for respect and so in my opinion i think is a positive feeling. Respect is usually shown towards someone or something considered important, or held in high esteem or regard; it conveys a sense of admiration for good or valuable qualities; and it is also the process of honoring someone by exhibiting care, concern, or consideration for their needs or feelings. there is a saying that respect is reciprocal which is true. The whole truth or rationale behind respect is that it cannot be bought but it is earned.Respect is not sold out there in the market. Some people may earn the respect of individuals by assisting others or by playing important social roles. In many cultures, individuals are considered to be worthy of respect until they prove otherwise. Courtesies that show respect include simple words and phrases like "thank you" in the West, simple physical gestures like a slight bow in the East, a smile, or direct eye contact, or a simple handshake. Most people sorry to say especially the rich thinks or feels they deserve respect because of their money, success or position which for they are right. But for you to be fully respected, you need to respect the people around you regardless of your position or wealth. You dont expect society to respect you just because you are rich. Society only respect people who have positive impacts on their lives that is how they relate to society and the how they live their personal lives as well. Yeah you can say you dont give a fuck about what society thinks or say about you but if you want to make it to the top and earn much respect for yourself, you've got to give a fuck about what people think and say about you. There is this politician i know in my neighborhood that he had a lot of money. Regardless of all the money he had and his position, he was not respected by his own people because this is a man that does nothing to help the community he lives in. He spend his money on alcohol, drugs and girls. There was a medical doctor that resides close to where i stay whom society really loves and respect so much. Though he was not rich as the politician but he was so respected for the little things he do to support the community. He used to provide free drugs for sick kids and they loved and respected him so much for what he does. The thing with respect is that what, who and how you relate with people that earns you the respect you deserve. Its been a week i signed up to steemit and i realized that the respect each member has for each other in the community is so much that they really appreciate whatever you do.I have not made that much of friends but i really respect @Ackza and @mughat for the love they show to members on the platform. They have been on this platform for quite a long time and could have acted bossy but they come down to earth just to entertain whoever that joins their platform and i really respect them for that. I know all the members of the community respect them too for the kind of love they exhibit to us.
