9 places to eat in New York

That New York is a place that will never cease to amaze you is nothing new. Many times I would like to live here, especially on those evenings when you think: What do we do today? Dinner again at the Italian on the corner? And I think that in places like New York, anything that popped into my head would be possible and because of something they say it is "the city that never sleeps".

If you are going to spend a few days there I want it to be as special as possible, so we have prepared a list of unique restaurants for you to make the most of your stay.

ALMA

A rooftop located on Columbia Street, Brooklyn, in a dark industrial-style brick building as expected in this neighborhood. It has three floors, but certainly worth climbing up to the rooftop, air-conditioned in winter for views of Manhattan's Downtown. You can appreciate their Mexican inspiration in the menu: Sit on their quilted benches and enjoy eating tacos or fajitas watching the sunset.

THE BACK ROOM

It is one of the clandestine bars scattered throughout New York, one of those places that have perpetuated the essence of the illegal bars of the 1920s and one of the two bars that operated during the dry season and that remain open. What makes them striking is that they still go unnoticed and in most of them, you need a password to log in. One of these "speakeasy" as they are called is The Back Room.

To access this typical bar you have to plant yourself in 102 Norfolk St where you will find a fence with a sign that says "Lower east Toy Company". Crossing this entrance, the same as 85 years ago, you will go down some stairs and an alley that will lead you to the bar. There you will go back to the "crazy 20's", where the glasses were served in water glasses and where behind the shelves are hidden secret rooms.

GANSEVOORT MARKET

If you take a walk on the High Line, you're forced to come and eat here. It is a market with a lot of stalls of all kinds. You can eat whatever you want there or pick up and have a picnic sitting across the street.

You have to choose but one of the most admired ones is the tapas stall in Donostia and the Ceviche Mission. For dessert, if you like pancakes as much as I do, go for Crepe Sucre.

M WELLS DINETTE

In the Long Island neighborhood, if you like art, you can visit the MoMA PS1, a huge contemporary art space that also boasts a most original restaurant. Its restaurant is called "M. Wells Dinette" and is a kind of school as it is, with its desks and blackboards.

The museum is located at 22-25 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City, NY.

ROBERTA’S

This pizza place is great. It's in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn and it's really a spectacle to find her and eat there.

What you find in your hand is a bad door with a half-fall sign with the name of the place, but once inside... wow! The site is huge, industrial ship-type, eco-friendly roll. In the center you can see how the pizzas are cooked and on one side there is a radio station. If the weather is good, you can also enjoy the food on the garden terrace on the other side.

The price is affordable. Open every day of the week until 12 noon. Don't miss it! This is your website.

KATZ' S DELICATESSEN

This is a safe place you've heard of, as it's the scene of the famous fake orgasm scene in "When Harry Found Sally".

His specialty and what you should try if you want to sit at the famous table, are pastrami sandwiches, of course, do not eat much earlier because they are more than forceful.

TINY’S

It is a place with a vintage air, in a cosy little house plan, with two floors. If you go in winter you'll appreciate sitting next to the fireplace in the back. The menu is a little short, but I'm sure you'll find something you like.

This charming place is located in the Tribeca neighborhood, so don't expect prices to be among the cheapest. Still, I think it's worth living. Take a look at their website.

TACOMBI AT FONTA NOLITA

If you want an original and cheap place, and especially if you like Mexican food, stop by this place at 267 Elisabeth Street. It is an old garage that has been furnished with very good eye like a Mexican restaurant. Inside you have the feeling of partying in the Riviera (it reminds me of my study trip...) because of the good atmosphere and the lights. Enjoy their tacos and cocktails.

ROSEMARY’S

What is special about this place is that you will eat vegetables grown on the terrace just above you. No way more natural. In addition, the decoration is cool, an open space with long tables and a menu with several options. Recommended: The pasta!

The bad news is that you have to wait and the rations are not exaggeratedly large.
