The Challenge of Internet Connectivity in Nigeria
Nigeria is a wonderful country, having 350 ethnic groups, these ethnic groups all speak different languages, different religious beliefs but we somehow manage to stay together. Keeping a country of such nature can be really difficult especially with the selfish interest of some few individuals that have access to privileged facilities compared to others.
These problem also spans to access to good network. Lots of area in the country are still experiencing development, such areas, you hardly find network poles there, while some areas you go to these poles are located very distant from each other.
I must say, the advent of mobile communication network companies are actually the driving force of connectivity in the country.There are days the network is so bad that it takes 3 to 5 minutes to load google search homepage, you can imagine how frustrating that can be.....eeeew!!
There are places in the country most especially the developed cities(e.g Lagos) where you have good connectivity, smooth communication, the reason being the location of companies and top business in this environs.
Even typing this post now, i know what it would take to get this message through because over here we are in the rainy season, the network is always bad during this time, the best time to use the internet is during sleeping hours, it fast because of less network traffic, i implore investors from outside my region to look into these it could be a good business prospect for them, my Country is a place of numerous opportunities, diverse business prospects and good people, investing in us is like taking your business to a greater height...Till my next post, stay blessed &
