Instead of letting tomorrow be todays excuse, why not make tomorrow a gift? A gift to your future self.

Fill out the list below with things you would like to do tomorrow. Small things. Things you know that you can do and will do.

No super human feats allowed. Progress lives in the things we do each day. Repentance is daily. Your life is like a gigantic cargo ship. Slow and resistant to change. But also unstoppable. You can not change its course quickly. But little by little change adds up.

Until one day you suddenly realise that your old self is gone. Then you smile and thank your former self. That broken and faulty human being. Who despite its terrible shortcomings and limitations was able to do the highest good. Not quitting. Not giving up on you.

Today you give yourself the past your future self deserves.

TOMORROW

• Wake to alarm. Set to a time that you will actually get up at.
• Take a walk in daylight and in workout clothes. Run ONE step.
• Do ONE pushup against the wall.
• Put something in your house in order. Pick up ONE sock from the floor.
• Exchange ONE friendly word with another person. A "Thank you" to the cashier.
• Fill out this list with things for tomorrow. Things you truly want to, and will, do. Do not try to fool yourself. Your deamons are smarter than that.

The last point never changes. You are doing this for the rest of your life. A thought that fills you with fear, i know. But remember the words of Carl Sagan:

“Small moves Ellie, small moves"

This is the truly magic formula for a good life. Sorting yourself out is not difficult. It just takes time. For compound interest is the most powerful force in the universe. Use it!
