Some suggestions for new mothers to return to work
The UK's Mother Mental Health Week has started from Monday. Young Moms Support Network founder Fiona Small gives ten suggestions to help new mothers get back to work.
1. Understand, where are you?
Ask yourself, 'Am I an unemployed man?'
No, you are not. As a mother, you are already doing a job.
It's easy to think you're doing 'nothing' in the profession. Or you are not getting any money, but maternity is full-time work and it needs to work hard. So do not shorten yourself.
If we do not do what we should do for our kids, then the world does not really have any future. Because you do not sit quietly.
What you do is also important for the society.
2. What have you mastered from maternity?
The whole way to achieve maternity gives you a new skill.
Regular checkups keep, keep the child just in the playground, keep connecting with other mothers.
Imagine you have to learn a lot to become a better mother.
You can also prove your eligibility as a mother.
3. Minimize isolation
Many times when you have children in school Think of them as a window of opportunity.
You can join an optional work or join groups of people who are not working directly without joining a job.
4. Take care of career change easily
There is nothing to be disappointed about the work you did before you were not able to get it later.
Rather think of it as a new opportunity to uncover another aspect of your possibilities.
5. Be kind to yourself
Do not torture yourself. Remember that it is a phase of life and it is not permanent.
Your life has not ended by motherhood.
Rather you have gone through the biggest challenges of life and naturally it will take some time to return completely to your professional career.
6. Be honest to the consultants
When you go for a job, report your problems.
There you have a helping hand, so tell them exactly what kind of help you need.
Stay strong.
Come to know about these costs, whether there will be extra cost for the child.
Want to know all the complex questions you have in mind?
Do not be afraid to ask something that should be asked.
7. Prepare properly
Prepare before going to the interview, because it is normal to have nervousness. So be courageous.
Even though being a little nervous helps someone to be cautious.
Get to know the company well beforehand.
And if you can, then honestly tell them that the situation did not help you to know everything.
8. You're a mother - do not be shy to say it
This is the first to report.
If your potential employer gets to know it midway, then he might wonder why you did not say it before.
Maternity is extraordinary, be proud of it.
As well as your age, the age of the child's school can also be kept in mind.
You need a job that you can do, so that's why you talk to the beginning.
9. Think differently
Getting a job does not mean nine or five jobs.
Think of different opportunities when you are a working mother.
If there is any other hobby or skill, it can also be source of income.
See mother-centered opportunities
Being a mother does not mean that you can not think of anything bigger.
10. Take care of yourself
Be confident of your own competence.
Keep positive people around you who will support you if needed.
Build friendship with other mothers.
Keep in mind that taking care of yourself and looking after your loved ones is really great.
