The best type of revenge

Revenge in Latin was often referred to as "vindicta" or "injuria"
The dictionary definition shows revenge to be in a resentful or vindictive spirit.
or
"The action of hurting or harming someone in return for an injury or wrong suffered at their hands."

I'm sure you've heard the phrase before, "success is the best revenge."
In my opinion the best revenge is no revenge at all.
When i tell my friends this..
They give me this look and go like,
What?
Why?

What i have discovered is that you can't fix yourself by breaking someone else.

It's so true that sometimes people cause us
The greatest pain,
The greatest suffering,
The greatest betrayal,
The greatest lack of trust,
miscommunication and almost destroy our inside.
When this happens you have a choice to move forward or destroy your self further.

when you think that success is the best revenge, or you want to take any revenge in any form at all.
It's like holding a hot piece of coal wanting to throw it at someone else, but in the process of picking up that hot piece of coal, we burn our own palm, we burn our own hand.
Even if we get to the point of chucking it at the person, we've already caused ourselves more pain, more strain, and more pressure.

Simply by picking up the baggage of wanting to get our own back on someone, or wanting to take out that pain and pressure on another individual, we're now carrying that pain and pressure ourselves.
I know it's easier said than done, i know that's it's difficult, but if someone has caused you pain don't allow them to win by doing it to your self again.

Remember the person that broke you is not going to be the person to fix you.
your growth, your healing is totally up to you.
