Through the windowpane
Looking out through the windowpane,
At a world, I don’t recognize.
Weariness has become a strain
Anxiety, I can’t disguise.
Not many cars are passing by,
No one hardly comes to the door.
In a way, I still wonder why,
We live on the edge of nevermore.
They told me, I won’t survive it,
Now a prisoner inside a cell.
I have never been one to quit,
How long will I stay in this jail?
Freedom is only a desire,
That’s a million miles away.
It’s a humorous satire,
But a terrible price to pay.
I must remain patient I guess,
Stay healthy as long as I can.
It’s hard to gain acquiesce,
No matter what, I’m still a man.
