Some terrifying things that are accepted as a part of everyday life!
Life is strange. Sometimes we avoid things which are really helpful and cause no harm to us. Rather, we accept things which are really dangerous. Let me list some of very common things for you:
1. Driving
Literally thousands of people die in car accidents every day.
2. There's a glowing orb in the sky that can blind you at any time if you look up at it directly.
3. If you don't have money you will starve.
4. Loss.
Every time you get close to a new person, that's one more person you'll lose in a few more years.Loss via breakup. Loss via death. Loss via argument. Loss via mental health deterioration. Loss via personality changes. Loss via drug addiction. Loss via moving away. You can lose your loved ones in SO MANY WAYS. One day they're here, and the next, they're not.People usually fear death when they worry about losing loved ones. I don't fear death. Death is cosmetic. I fear loss itself. Loss is the real heart-crusher.
5. Controlling a large hunk of plastic and metal at speeds that can kill or harm you terribly. Hell, I've seen people walk across a road and dodge these killer machines as if it's no big deal.
6. Drinking.
In the US, alcohol kills 88,000 people a year. That's 8 times more than gun homicides per year. It's insane.
The fact that you'll probably never find a job you are passionate about. You'll probably never fall in love with "the one". You'll probably never be the person you want to be or the person you could be, and that's just the harsh reality of life.
