Jain Monk/Muni Tarun Sagar passed away on Saturday morning. 51-year-old Jain Muni was walking ill for a long time. At around 3am in the Radhapuri Jain temple in the Krishna Nagar area of east Delhi, he breathed his last.
Digambar Jain Muni is known the message was given to society in the name of 'Kadve Vachan'. He used to give his opinion in tone of words on important issues of society and nation's life. Tarun Sagar, who was very popular in the Jain community, was suffering from Jaundice for a long time. About 20 days ago, he was admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Despite treatment, he had stopped his treatment due to lack of improvement in health.

For some days, he was roaming in Radapuri Jain temple. Santhara Jain is the tradition of religion, under which the Sants sacrifice food till death. Born in 1967 in Madhya Pradesh, the real name of Tarun Sagar Maharaj was Pawan Kumar Jain. He left the house on March 8, 1981 to become a Jain saint. He was also called for a discourse in the Haryana assembly.

जैन मुनि तरुण सागर का शनिवार को सुबह निधन हो गया। 51 वर्षीय जैन मुनि लंबे समय से बीमार चल रहे थे। पूर्वी दिल्ली के कृष्णा नगर इलाके में स्थित राधापुरी जैन मंदिर में सुबह करीब 3 बजे उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली।
दिगंबर जैन मुनि को उनके प्रवचनों के लिए जाना जाता है। 'कड़वे प्रवचन' के नाम से समाज को वह संदेश देते थे। वह समाज और राष्ट्र जीवन के अहम मुद्दों पर तीखी शब्दों में अपनी राय दिया करते थे। जैन समाज में खासे लोकप्रिय रहे तरुण सागर बीते काफी दिनों से पीलिया से पीड़ित थे। करीब 20 दिनों पहले उन्हें इलाज के लिए एक निजी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। इलाज के बावजूद स्वास्थ्य में सुधार न होने पर उन्होंने अपना इलाज बंद करा लिया था।

कुछ दिनों से वह राधापुरी जैन मंदिर में ही संथारा कर रहे थे। संथारा जैन धर्म की वह परंपरा है, जिसके तहत संत मृत्यु तक अन्न त्याग कर देते हैं। मध्य प्रदेश में 1967 में जन्मे तरुण सागर महाराज का वास्तविक नाम पवन कुमार जैन था। जैन संत बनने के लिए उन्होंने 8 मार्च, 1981 को घर छोड़ दिया था। उन्हें हरियाणा विधानसभा में भी प्रवचन के लिए बुलाया गया था।
