How are you doing? I mean, how are you really doing?
How often do you answer that question honestly, without the nearly involuntary, "I'm good!"?
Of course, it's not practical or expected of you to answer that question truthfully every time it is asked. There is always a time, place, and specific outlet to give share the honest response to that question.
Most people have somebody they go to during a crisis or a rough time in their life.
But not you
You have a hard time sharing how you really feel. You are too afraid to admit to anyone that you are at a weak and diminished state right now.
It's OK! You are normal! There are many, MANY people that feel just like you.
You need to know, and really understand, that we are here to listen and to help. You may need to just get it out. You may want a couple of words back. Some confirmation that it is OK to feel that way.
