Turn Over of the Burnham Park Fencing Project to the City Government of Baguio
Last July 3, 2017 the City Council of Baguio invited the Burnham Park Fencing Committee to its regular session for the purpose of updating them on the status of the fencing of Burnham Park.
Mr. Rolly De Guzman, Treasurer of the Burnham Park Fencing Committee informed the members of the local legislative body that once the remaining spans of the fence will be adopted and its maintenance activities shall have been completed, the committee will turn over to the local government the remaining funds solicited and the maintenance of the fence.
Fencing Burnham Park is a project that was conceptualized by the city's Centennial Commission, thru the Baguio Centennial Parks Committee (BCPC) with Bishop Carlito Cenzon as the point person to coordinate and oversee the various programs, projects and activities in relation to the beautification, renewal and rehabilitation of the parks in the City.
The fencing committee implemented the spans that were adopted by various private individuals and companies while the local government implemented the downloaded funds from Mayor Domogan's PDAF and the Department of Public Works and Highways–Baguio City District Engineering office took charge of doing the works for the funds that came from the Office of the President.
Mr. De Guzman said that the fencing committee will turn over the management and maintenance of the perimeter fence once the project is fully completed.
