Does he still love me? The answer is yes, he does love you. But if you start making such drama out of it, he will not. If your other half is in crypto trading he is most likely showing some of the symptoms:
- He checks out the Coinbase and Bittrex more often than the email or messages you send to him. You will find out what Coinbase and Bittrex is, no worries
- His Twitter feed is well, a someone else's feed.
- Doge is not a puppy anymore, and he refers it to - Doge is on the moon. No, you do not have a dog.
- His phone has more than five authentication apps and logins
- Youtube subscriptions are named crypto XYZ
- New god is CryptoYoda
- A computer screen looks like a screen from a Wolf of the Wall Street movie
- He is not acting like Leo in the movie, but his favorite photo is
Congratulation, your boyfriend is on the way to make trading his primary thing. While he is not comfortable 100 % with it and knows all he thinks he needs to know, and beyond, you will be on pause as a first thing he thinks about. If you love your boyfriend, keep calm. The reason why he is doing so is to make some extra cash for souvenirs and early retirement.
He still loves you, but he needs to take his doge(coin) out for a walk. First, he needs to find out where and how to do so. He is honest with you, and you know what is going on in his head. This situation will not be the case forever, but in the stage when this is important to him try not to make a fuss about it.
As a fresh crypto trader, he is worried about some things, so try to see the situation from his point of view.
- He is inexperienced, and with the career in different trade, there is so much to learn in short time.
- Crypto trading is not just the money-making machine. It has a philosophy and principles behind it. Your boyfriend might just found a thing he believes in.
- Money can be lost, and it is lost. He is just trying hard not to lose it, all.
- Wallet value is always changing. Not from thousands to tens and hundreds of thousands in 30 seconds, but the value oscillates. In the beginning, this is like a rollercoaster. I know I was super excited when I saw the initial value doubled up. And I am not trading.
He will look worried, and for the moments even angry. Remember - This has nothing to do with you. It is the market, and for those trading, the timing makes a big difference. Few percent either gain or loss is a lot.
Ask. Show the interest in what occupies him. If he can't talk to you about the things which make him happy, then something else is wrong. It doesn't matter if you know nothing about the charts and trading. I always say he can explain to me like I'm a six years old kid.
For those whose boyfriend has coins but does not show any of the symptoms, he is a hodler, and potential trader. So learn now, while you still have time :)

daytrading stocks is known to be one of the most stress inducing jobs, alongside with very high turn over rates - and men often have to fight their own ambitions to not destroy themselves.
I echo what you said, remember crypto is stressful for a lot of people, and as long as you communicate about your relationship then you shouldn't worry about him looking stressed - because its probably because doge just dropped 23%.

Yeah, I've heard this morning doge just dropped a lot :(
And yes, communication is the key, not only in trading. It helps a lot in highly stressful jobs to have some to talk about it on the more personal level.
Exactly. I've heard that most long term relationships have a constant stream of communication whether it be one or two date nights a week or at least 90 minutes of talking about the relationship and responsibilities a week.
And also for context in the stock world a 20% drop is madness, in Crypto that is "normal" so being mindful of the madness that is Crypto trading is important.
