A Typical English Weather at the Park
Due for a visit from another god-mother, my god-daughter Sophia was excited for her arrival, but because of the gloomy weather, the rain was expected from earlier on. It rained while she was busy playing infront of my window. As it was continous, her god-mother's call of its' postponement probably sealed it.
Till the sun came out later on. And a four year old doesn't forget easily.
Out last visit to the park two days ago didn't dampen her enthusiasm to go back so soon.
Though now sunny, we sort of rushed to go in anticipation of another rain. Never trust the English weather.
A heavy downpour did occur when we were about to go home, i guess our berry-picking will have to be on another day.

Haha.. Yeah the only consistent thing to say about the British weather is it is not consistent.
It is starting to feel like a typical summer now. Sunny for a few days when people all strip down to shorts and bikinis and rush to the parks to lie in the sun for as long as they can. Sometimes it is a day or two sometimes less.
The truth is though, and this is the pragmatist's point of view, it is because sunny day are so relatively rare we value them so much more.
Sure it is sunny all the time in California but have you seen how sterile that makes everything? Arid, dusty and man made.
If you want nature's bloom you need nature's gloom as well. Sunshine after the rain or rain after the sunshine it does not matter which but the truth becomes we have a green country because of our changeable weather not despite of it.
So yeah.. it sucks if you plan on sunny days to do stuff.. but if you just take them as they come and not get too invested they are better to be savoured than squandered.
Consistent like the Queen, inconsistent like brexit?
Green and fertile so bloom and gloom is the perfect combination☺☺
California is greener than Arizona, where everything u see is a hot glimmer effect of the temperature. Does it ever rain in there?

Nice park. If it was located here in the Phils., the birds would disappear; eaten by the locals.
No we don't kuya...come to my house in ilocos, some tried to steal some, but not to eat them. As for swans, do Pinoys eat them?
Mga carps sa pond ang hinuhuli ng ibang lahi to eat eh un ang bawal.

Indeed they are. Maybe in the hands of an adventurous Pinoy cook they can be eaten as well. The janitor fish was made edible by Pinoys.
Chinese do have peking ducks although am not so sure where their stores get what they serve here. Janitor fish is edible? First time to hear it🤣🤣
