Enjoying Life. Living it. Having an Awesome weekend with the family.

My weekend started early last Thursday at 2:30 in the afternoon and all of us were too excited as we were heading for a relaxation with the family.

It is a post celebration of mother’s day and the sexiest birthday of my mom.

After work we picked up my son and mom from the nursery. Then we hurried home to fix our things as this was not really a planned trip.

Then we fetched my cousin from work. While waiting for her to get ready, this little boy is in the mood for a snap.

It takes approximately 2 hours to travel from Abu Dhabi to Dubai if there is no traffic. Since it is ramadan, there were not too much cars travelling on the road.

We picked out the hotel that we stayed only the same day around 11 am. Entertainer vouchers are really useful for unplanned relaxation over the weekend. Thankful for having a brother who works at a very generous company which provides them with such great benefits like these.

So as we arrived at our destination, my little tike was so excited as weekends are his favorites and also mine. I always look forward for weekends even though we don’t usually go out like this. As I was so hungry, it did not come across my mind to take a photo of our hotel. It would have been nice to share it to you guys. We have reserved for Executive Deluxe Suite City View at Copthorne Hotel which is located in Deira, Dubai. We booked for two nights (one night paid and one is complimentary), bill is taken care of my sweetest handsome brother.

After we put all our things since we were so hungry, we headed to Deira City Center to eat dinner. Our dinner was a bucket of fried chicken from KFC which satisfied our hunger that night. Then we decided to buy some useful stuff at Carrefour. While my brother was at the pharmacy section, my son was in a mood again to pose for some few shots with one of the super heroes, the Hulk and Spiderman.

We went back to our hotel and hit the sack. It was easy for me to let my son sleep as he was so eager to do the most awaited activity for tomorrow, swimming! Swimming is indeed fun for kids.

Then, came the next morning. Who do you think woke up early? Of course non other than my son, he even woke us up and said, “Mama, look it’s day time already. Get up.” He went down the bed and look out the window, “come on, get up. Swim.”

We had our quick breakfast and then went down for a swim. Look at the nice pool all by ourselves.

look how gorgeous my mom at her sexthiesth birthday.

It was lunch time and we were definitely hungry. The most awaited part of the day for me. We had our buffet at Lamesa, Asiana Hotel in Deira. This is one of the few restaurants here who serves pork meat here in UAE. Here is my plate after eating a lot and a snap of my mom while enjoying her food. Dining with the family together and some chit chats in between, coupled with numerous laughter do not only fill our stomach but our souls as well. Memories together are the most priceless gift we could ever receive during any occasions.

It was Friday, I know it is my son’s day out but since it was a special day as we celebrated the birthday of my mom, we brought her to one of her favourite mall in dubai, the outlet mall. It is a 30-minute drive from Deira. While my mom enjoys shopping the kids and kids at heart also had fun at Chuck E Cheese’s. The entertainer voucher made it possible for us to enjoy it more with additional tokens to play with.

Look at those tickets we got! Most of it were the tickets we won while we were playing deal or no deal game. I won’t miss taking a selfie and pose for a few shot.

While waiting for our mom, my brother and I decided to take a stroll and buy some refreshments. What I admire most in UAE, they became flexible and they have considered to open up the restaurants in the mall during ramadan so that people who don’t fast will be able to eat in a specific place.

On our way home, I took the chance on taking some few snaps while we were on the road. UAE is known as a desert country, despite it, we can see a lot of trees, other plants, beautiful infrastructures, and I observed that this country has a lot of round-abouts, fly overs, tunnels. Of course a number of skyscrapers.

Since it is the same day of my husband’s flight for a short vacation, we capped the day by having a dinner just the opposite side of our hotel. There are various restaurant with different cuisine to choose from, chinese , filipino (boodle fight), seafood and a lot more. We fed our hungry tummy with seafood and ate at the Off the Hook restaurant. They serve the seafood in a plastic with unlimited rice and iced tea with affordable price that ranges from 69 AED. Apart from great food, they also have a nice ambience, friendly and accommodating staff. Plus the fact that we did not wait much longer for the queue as we were entertained right away. Also our food was served freshly cooked in not moe than three minutes after we got our seat.

Evidence that my son had a great time and got too tired. He slept while we are having our dinner. This proves that being a mom would let you discover things that you never thought you could ever do.

It was indeed such a fun-filled and appetizing weekend with the family. There’s no such great joy could amount to a well spent time with the family.
