Bad experiences in the past may continue to make us feel guilty in the present and make us believe that we are always bad. This is not true. The past cannot be changed but you can learn from it. You can make peace with your past.. Dark secrets can make you fearful all your life, prevent you from being free and creative. While you do not have to be an open book to everyone, you cannot spend a life of pretense, worry and hypocrisy. Find out how you can have a healthy connection with your past failures by addressing each one of them.. Sometimes you need a professional intervention that can help clarify your failures, wrong decisions or serious mistakes. Sometimes what you need is sincere repentance and the belief that God can erase your sins completely. Oftentimes, all that is needed is to forgive yourself.
