What do you really want?
Do you ever look around and realize that God actually granted you one/some of the things you used to pray for?
You prayed and wished and even day dreamed about it and finally it arrived. Isn't God good? You might have had to go an extra mile somewhere but it all worked out, right? But still you go back to the man upstairs and pray for more. This time you're even hungrier and comparing yourself to others who have "made it" and you feel like God is unfair and has abandoned. But i tell you you're doing better than most in your age bracket. What then should those you're doing better than say? PATIENCE child. God's timing is always perfect but it better find you ready otherwise it'll also be a waste.
How then does one get ready?
First of all you eat right and sleep right. Your health is of utmost importance. Good things are of no use to a dead or dying man. I'm talking good hygiene, fresh organic foods, fruits and vegetables and lots of water. Sleep atleast 8 hours a day. Read a book. Exercise your brain and body. Have positive thoughts. Think of the best possible outcomes in whatever you try or do. If there's none then avoid such things.
Don't be lazy. The good Lord doesn't like lazy people. Matthew 25:28-29;
Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
So don't be complacent and don't procrastinate. Complacency and procrastination are the worst and it's funny how they always go together. You think you're a genius so you push today's activities to tomorrow yet you're not really doing anything valuable today. What's that about? Hardwork, good discipline and consistency complemented by genius will really shoot you to the stars.
Take risks. Shoot your shot. Try out something you've always wanted to try. Whether it's developmental or just for fun, just do it. You might like it or atleast you'll be over it if it doesn't go well. No future regrets of not doing something. Ask that girl or boy out what the hell...
You lose every shot you don't take. Master some courage and confidence in that spirit of yours for God's sake.
Lastly, surround yourself with the right people. Those that share your ambitions. Those that can mentor you. Those that love you. Those with positive thoughts and energy. But also try to save those who have lost hope. Never give up on them for we all need each other. Save the islands from drowning themselves in the thoughts of their own misery. Love your neighbour as you love yourself no matter the differences. Do for others what you'd like them to do for you. Spread the love.
