Tyranny and Community - The fear of humanity and a way out
Hello Steem community, my name is Odunayo this is my first post, and it isn't my introduction yet because I'm yet to learn enough to make an introduction so today I'll be talking about tyranny and it's effects on the community.
What is Tyranny
Tyranny from various definitions is simply a negative use of power against the community or environment at large but on a more direct note.
For further understanding, tyranny is the term given to a situation where an individual or a group of individuals take it upon themselves to inflict and adverse effect of law enforcement on another set of individuals and the environment.
As a result, there is usually pandemonium and confusion in the community making it difficult to live freely and make effective decisions towards work and growth.
Why Tyranny
Basically tyranny comes as a result of the desperate quest for position and power, most individuals get to pick tyranny as a choice when they want to be seen as powerful in the community, getting respect by force to make themselves feel good so as to be feared by the community at large, in the process they cause havoc sometimes to the extent of killing individuals.
To make this easier to understand, I'll be listing out the factors that cause people to choose tyranny, here we go;
Culture
Culture from definition is the social behavior and ideas of a people or community, in such a way that it affects their behavioural pattern.

Culture is basically one of the most recognised factors that cause tyranny, and this is due to the fact that some cultures allow a set of individuals to have more rights that the others don't have.
Causing the minority to be under tyranny of the majority. As a result, the minority is faced with the havoc of being under pressure from the higher class.Personality and Prejudice
There are lots and lots of personality attributes in every human on the planet earth, such that differentiating between one and the other has become a little bit difficult, personality traits are those things that an individual does to react to different situations for example some people are quick to react angrily while others just stay calm if faced with the same challenge.
Wikipedia defines it as;
Personality is defined as the set of habitual behaviors, cognitions and emotional patterns that evolve from biological and environmental factors.
Some individuals have developed personality of being threats to others, this could be as a result of past experience with bullies at school, community or family related issues.
For this post, I'll be dwelling more on a way out of this plague, though not so easy but essential if human existence is not going to be extinct by its own hands.
I once read this online, pertaining how the government is meant to stop and possibly avoid tyrants, I quote
The Constitution could prevent tyranny by dividing powers between central and state government, dividing powers between the branches of government, using checks and balances and lastly, in the Legislative Branch, there is equal representation from all the states.
William Ryan said in order to stop tyranny, we must first remove the binary thinking of us and them, that makes us group ourselves differently in the society, mostimes using favoritism we usually categorise ourselves and this is dehumanizing due to the fact that we see others as outsiders making them feel rejected and abandoned.
Education
This they say is the key, "Education is the key" and yes it really is education is the one and only way out of tyranny, this is becauseonce an individual is educated as regards something morally wrong, he or she tends to avoid it on the long run, so I'll say anyone caught bullying at their young age should be educated, and not dumped in juvenile.
Once the right form of education is applied every individual will be able to avoid oppressing others.
