My Boy
This is my oldest boy. In the picture he was only 3 or 4, now he is 5 almost 6. It is amazing how children grow up so fast and we don't even notice it until we look back at pictures we have taken. As a dad I strive to be great for my children and I sometimes lose focus of that. However, I know down deep in my heart what goal I am trying to accomplish and no matter if my children see the goal or not right this moment I will keep striving to reach it. They can get mad at me when I make decisions for them or scold them for being rude or hitting. They might not see it now but one day they will. Just like I did looking back at my life my father and I fought and fought hard because I was stubborn (still a little stubborn.) If I would have seen the reason then, maybe we would have not gotten into arguments so much. That is why today I look up to him more than I ever have, I go to him for guidance and to teach me more. When I look at this picture my heart opens up to explore the type of father I always strive to be and I always strive for greatness.
