How much money is needed to live "well" in Venezuela? And why is Steemit a big help to many?

Hello steemians I hope you are very well, today I bring you an informative post, I am sure that many people have heard about the economic crisis in Venezuela, but how deep is the crisis? Or how are Venezuelans affected by the crisis? Well, that's why I bring you this post, in which I will show you when money needs a Venezuelan couple to live and compare them with the current salaries of Venezuelans, all prices will be indicated in US dollars since I do not want to confuse the readers of other countries with the exchange controls of my country.

  • Animal protein

No doubt this is the most expensive food, but it is also very important for a balanced diet, the average cost of beef, chicken, pork and fish, is 1.8 $ per kilo (standard quality cuts), for two people It would be necessary to buy 2 kilos per week, which gives a weekly expense of 3.6 $ - monthly of 14.4 $.

  • Vegetables and fruits

In this group, the prices can vary a lot depending on whether you buy what is in season, but on average the cost for two people a week is 1.5 $ - monthly $ 6.

  • General food

In this group we will include the rest of the products necessary for a balanced diet (grains, flours, dairy products, etc.), the weekly cost is at an average of $ 2.5 - monthly $ 10.

This gives us a monthly expense for food of $ 30.4. Apart from this services are missing such as cell phone rental, electricity, internet, water, gas. With 1 $ monthly it is enough to pay them all, the rent of a studio apartment can be obtained in 15 $ monthly and with 1 $ monthly you can cover the expenses of the public transport of a month.

This gives us a total of $ 47.4 monthly in basic expenses to live "well" and I put in quotes well because as described in $ 47.4 there are no expenses for clothing, medicine or recreation.

I'm sure that for many countries this is a ridiculously small sum, the problem is that Venezuela's minimum monthly salary is just over $ 1, I'm not going to lie, almost no one works for the minimum wage, but in most of non-professional jobs pay from $ 2 to $ 4 monthly, and professionals from $ 8 to $ 20 per month, as you can see a couple of professionals with good jobs does not arrive at the end of the month with money to eat, and not professionals literally do not even manage to eat half.

This imbalance has caused many Venezuelans to look for food in the garbage, and that malnutrition has increased in both adults and children.

Many Venezuelans have achieved in steemit a way to help us financially, a post with a value of $ 1 currently generates about $ 0.4 liquid (and that because the price of the altcoin are currently red), as you can see a post of 1 $ daily allows you to buy much more food than a conventional job in Venezuela.

  • Remember that the aforementioned data are the expenses of an adult couple without children.

See you later, steemians and remember HOLD !!!
