truly sir, that is the reason we say in India that we are in Kalyug. Where, there is suffering and pain. People, cheating on others and being jealous of others' success. I, totally agree, that we should just ignore the pain and sorrows to see positive things in life. As, rightly quoted in the book named "The Secret" -- Just believe in your self, visualize and be happy with what you have if you want to enjoy life without pain and sorrow.
