Well, hello there!

Upon being introduced to SteemIt by a couple of friends, I decided to create this profile as a means of promoting my work as a podcaster. I believe an article was already written about my podcast and so I decided to come here and speak for myself about it. I won't be writing too much here but I will be posting the episodes I just recorded and published as my means of communication is mostly my voice.

I'm DeadMeatGrinder, as you can see by the tattoo, it's about the deed of grinding meat and not the gay connotation. Now, I have nothing against different sexual preferences, it's just that I see this being referenced too much when the name DMG or Grinder's Verdict is mentioned that I felt compelled to explain it here first hand.

I started podcasting around the beginning of 2018 as I had to shut down my online radio station that had been running since 2009, promoting the underground Metal music. Got a lot of praise and records from all over the world and was proud of myself for having a platform where artists and people involved in the industry alike would feel safe to speak up what was going through their minds without the fear of censorship via that radio. It was a radio from the underground folks for the underground folks. There's a lot of fantastic music out there that we never heard and sometimes never will hear simply because the industry is unfair and greedy. Money speaks louder most times. I mean look at justice...

So what the hell is the Grinder's Verdict about? It all started as a blogspot page back in 2012 if I am not mistaken. I started it as a means of expressing myself about multiple subjects. Because I was known as DeadMeatGrinder in the music industry (as I was also in a band from 2008 to 2012) I decided to go with Grinder and essentially have the blogspot be my verdict about whatever. I'd talk about TV shows, the practices behind the scenes, the ignorance of some people who choose to be oblivious towards obvious things, etc, etc... So around mid 2018 as I had started doing podcasts in portuguese (my native language) but was getting burned out from it, I chose to start doing podcasts in english. And the Grinder's Verdict Podcast was born. It's been a whole process of evolution and realizations but I am enjoying it.

Podcasting is therapeutic to me. It helps me deal with the maze of thoughts that dwells within my mind and pursue attempting to improve the world slowly, step by step. If you hear an episode from my podcast about how I was an alcoholic and what it did to me and that puts some thoughts in your mind to maybe stir you away from it, then my mission was successful! And that's essentially it. I hope you tag along for this ride with me and take a 'gander' at the episodes I already have available and essentially if you like it, then please follow on the platform of your choosing and let's keep trying to make this wretched, unfair world, a better place for us and future generations.
