Recovery is long journey
The problem of drug abuse in our country lately is getting worse. Almost every day we hear from the mass media drug cases. Starting from the arrest of bookies and couriers, production, and even smuggling is increasing. Drug abuse no longer looks at status, age and class. From the young to the old, men and women, academics and professionals, ordinary people to high officials. Even more concerning many teenagers are also victims and targets of couriers and drug dealers. When they are caught in a sweet seduction, it is hard to escape from dependence on the substance. It takes a long time to recovery.

Recovery is a long journey. A person who has
experienced drug dependence (Narcotics, psychotropic substances and other addictive substances) has never experienced the name "Recover" but "Recovered". This means that time can recur back (relapse). Just as chronic diseases that if not maintained can recur. Even someone who has undergone a rehabilitation process is not a guarantee to not reuse. That's why the "recovery" process of drug addiction is a long journey. It takes a long time, hard work and strong commitment, and support from family and community. Drug abuse is not like a skin disease that is easy to heal, but like an "influenza" disease that can affect anyone and anytime. When the immune system is weak, lack of maintaining health, fatigue and unfriendly weather can make a person affected by "influenza". Similarly, when a victim of drug abuse, already undergoing recovery, but not keeping it well, it is not impossible he will fall back. " Recovery is like riding a bicycle, when you stop, you fall.

The family plays an important role in maintaining the recovery of a drug addict. An addict needs the support and attention of the people around him. For example, wife, parents, brother, sister and other families. By learning to give trust and control.
,The family should be able to understand the character of an addict. And most important is the cooperation and willpower of the addict to escape from his dependence.
An addict who has been rehabilitated does not guarantee when he comes out of rehab he will not use drugs again. There is no single really powerful method of rehabilitation to change an addict's behavior. Rehabilitation is just a means or a weapon that can be used when someone wants to stop using drugs.
It takes a strong commitment from the addict himself to not reuse and be able to resist every trigger to use drugs. The point is that in the recovery of an addict it takes the will, commitment and support of everyone around the drug addict, and remember that the recovery is a lifetime.

So, steemian friend if any of our family, friends, neighbors who have ever had drug addiction, do not give him punishment or stigma, but give him support in order to live his "long way" of recovery.
