Is it possible to successfully run a kickstarter project without using any PR companies?

This has been on my mind for a couple of days now. It's day 4 of our first ever kickstarter project. We had an idea, we brought it to fruition and now we feel like it is something we can share with others. I mean who wouldn't want something like this on their desk or living room?

For those who still need to ask, yes it is a wireless charging pad for mobile phones or even tablets. The unique thing about our product is that it is not boring like other charging pads that you will find in the market. We make it from REAL FLOWERS, LEAVES and other "organics". That in itself makes it really unique and one of a kind and the process is not something that can be massed produced in a factory. And the whole thing is not encased in a plastic case, we encapsulated everything in something called "Resin", which makes it totally hard and almost indestructible once we put everything together.

We thought it was a great product and we got great feedback from friends who experienced the actual product. I know it is still too early to predict how the funding will go, but I have to be honest, doubts are swimming in my mind right now. Maybe we started the campaign prematurely and we should have done more research? Maybe it is wrong time of the year and people don't have money? Maybe we should have offered it globally? Maybe...maybe...and lots of other maybe. For now we have some relatives pledging support and friends sharing the page. We did get a lot of emails and messages from companies offering to help promote or twit our project to their millions of followers.

In the next days, I know I will have to step up my marketing game. I just need to fix my mindset, stay positive and claim this!
