For me, the drive would be over 2 hours away. It was the longest drive of my life

I had over an hour drive when my daughter was injured... time passed so slow and it seemed I'd never get to her.

My oldest daughter was flight-cared to a trauma center back in 2005 for a closed head injury (fluke incident while playing basketball). She was intubated and in a drug-induced coma for days... longest week of my life.

I can completely relate to EVERY word you said in this post.... brings back so many tear-filled memories to me.

To this day... over a decade later...whenever I hear a helicopter, I am transported back to the day of my daughter's accident.
