Some photos of Norilsk
Friends, I suggest you see a few photos of the city in which I live. It is located behind the Arctic Circle at 69 parallels.

This is a very unusual city, with its own characteristics. There live mainly workers of metallurgical plants Norilsk Nickel.
Winter lasts 9 months, polar night - 45 days, but the sun can not be seen for almost 2 months. Norilsk is also included in the top 10 most polluted cities in Russia, there is a very bad ecology.
The population makes about 120 thousand people, the city itself is in the tundra and has no associated roads with other cities. You can get here only by plane, the distance to Moscow is about 3,500 kilometers.

The average salary for employees is about $ 1200 per month. There are often snow storms and severe frost down to -55 celsius. It's hard to say why people live here, for some it's a lifestyle, for others it's the romance of the northern lights.

Вот это жесть! Однотипные коробки, ни единого дерева и -55 зимой. А люди не уезжают, потому что дорог нету. Какая-то сомнительная романтика получается. Как вы вообще там живете?
Этот вопрос мне задают чаще всего )) И мне всегда трудно ответить на него, всё так неоднозначно. Кто-то сюда приехал за романтикой ещё при Союзе, да так и остался. Не поверите, но есть и те, кто тут родился и не собирается ни куда уезжать. Большинство живут по принципу, заработать пенсию и уехать. Родители мои тут прожили 40 лет, хотя собирались лет 5 - 7, да так и застряли, копили на квартиру, потом один кризис, потом второй и третий... вот так к пенсии кое-как насобирали. Многие мечтают уехать, но куда? Если нет жилья, на "материке"! Нас ни где не ждут, ехать на съемные квартиры это вообще не вариант. Мне кажется из этого города нужно вовремя ноги вытащить, по этому молодёжь после школ разъезжается по России поступать в институты, а там и закрепиться.
Что каксается самого города, он не так плох... развитая инфраструктура, школы, больницы, супермаркеты и тц, спортивные сооружения, даже круглогодичный аквапарк есть с горками, бассейнами и саунами. В принципе для жизни есть всё... если бы не одно но, экология! С остальним можно мириться, но с выбрасами заводов, постояным газом.... это угнетает конечно.
Парадоксально, но в последние лет 10, много приезжих! На металлургические заводы едут много молодых специалистов, ребята и девушки после горных институтов и вообще все, что связано с горным делом, металлургией и химией. Заводят тут семьи и живут... и я не могу сказать, что они получают баснасловные деньги.
Для себя конечно решил давно, валить отсюда надо )))
