The Day I met Actress Emma Roberts in 2009

Good Morning,
Good Afternoon,
Good Evening
Depending where you are in the world right now

It was Friday 18th September 2009 (Wow over 7 years ago)

Film Director Noel Clake was shooting a scene for his latest film 4,3,2,1 At the Shepherds Bush Westfield Shopping Center in a Cafe shop
The shoot would last 2 days for 2 scenes in the film

It had been posted on the 4,3,2,1 Facebook page a few days before that they were looking for extras to appear in the 2 scenes.
At the time I was a huge fan of American Actress Emma Roberts. This was going to be her 1st appearance in a UK Film
I decided to take this opportunity to be a part of the film as an extra & also witness Emma Roberts acting & try to meet her

I went to Westfields Shopping Centre
The 1st day took from Morning to Evening to shoot Inside the Cafe Scene
All the Extras were placed upstairs (It was a huge Cafe of 2 floors)
This is where we would chill, relax & was offered food & drinks for the day
I could watch the playback of the scene on cameras upstairs, as they shot the scene on the ground floor
1 scene took a lot of takes to do

When the actors were not shooting, they were brought upstairs 1 at a time to film interviews for the DVD/Blu Ray extras
Emma Roberts was only a short distance from me, I would watch & hear her interview
It felt strange having an Actress I have followed since her TV show UnFabulous on Nickelodeon.
She was only a short distance away from me

You would have thought this was the perfect opportunity to appoach Emma, say Hi, & ask for her autograph & picture
But I felt too nervous to ask.
What if she was too busy?
Needed to be back quickly to shoot for the scene?
Some questions went through my head

So I decided not to approach Emma at this time. Possibly wait for a later period in the day
(But what if this had been the best time to say Hi)
I had to take that risk & chance it

Later on I was sitting upstairs chilling
A guy I meant & became friends with had been called downstairs to shoot a scene

Looking out the window at passerby's. Noticed Emma Roberts with UK Actress Ophelia Lovibond taking a little break.
I thought could this be my perfect chance to say Hi & get a picture with Emma
I decided to take the chance & go outside

This is where I approached Emma Roberts & Ophelia Lovibond
Said Hi to them both
I asked if Emma could sign my Blu Ray copy of LymeLife (Which had only been released in America a week before, managed to import it in)
This was also the 1st time Emma had seen the cover for it. So it made for a great conversation
I then asked for a picture. Emma was happy to be in :)

I then walked back into the cafe for the remainder of the shoot.
Happy I had finally met Emma Roberts :)
