ULOG #40 - Some Thoughts

One thing I have noticed, despite getting some very good votes in my recent posts, is that getting to REP 65 is being extremely difficult for me. I had a good streak with the last three REP raises, I made them in what I think is record time, but 65 seems to be the difficult one. I understand that the higher the REP the higher the votes needed, still it is one of the things that lets me know I am advancing.

OK, now the 100 Day Challenge by Steemit Inc is going good, I see a lot of people very enthusiastic about it, I believe this is the first time that a lot of people have been presented with the opportunity of getting a very good vote for their efforts, so I think this is really a good idea, I have also benefited from this.

I believe things will go back to normal once the Hive people have all powered down and leave definitely for Hive, I think and hope this will coincide with the end of the Corona virus pandemic, yes I think it will not be before June that we see any return to near normal. But the coincidence of these two events should decidedly be to the benefit of Steemit.

Now let's understand one thing, for me a healthy Steemit is one where the Steem token is very well priced, I believe everyone would be satisfied with a $1.00 price. Is this possible? Frankly at the moment except for a pump and dump I don't see why Steem should moon, it is just one more coin among many with nothing special backing it. Of course I don't know what Justin Sun's plans are, if he does put money in, and innovates things then we can see what we want, in the mean time all we can do is hope.

As a goodbye I can now tell you that while in April I was able to go shopping once a week, in May things are different and I can only go out once every two weeks, of course the government says this will last until May 17, I call bull shit on that our daily cases are on a rise, I expect thousands of cases here (Honduras) and an end to this for around the last days of June. Any more than that, in fact maybe not even that much time, and we fall into civil war, already people are taking the law into their own hands. Once hunger really starts hitting there will be blood.

Stay safe everyone.

Hello, saw your post - seems like a good forecast. It coincides with something I read on 99Bitcoin.com where basically they felt that Steemit should stay very stable and increase in value going into the future BECAUSE of future integration with TRON or like you are saying, if Justin Sun decides to invest capital into the platform. By the way, I am in Colombia. Here we are on lockdown until May 25th or June 1st. We are also hitting our limits as well as people are getting restless. On the other hand, these people have been so indoctrinated by socialist doctrine that they are kinda just taking it and opting to suffer instead of protest. Ok, thanks for the post!

Socialism in Colombia? Which part of Colombia is that?

Colombia is the most democratic country in South America. That being said, it really isn't saying much because the universities are as liberalized here to progressive policies and education. Due to the Guerrilla influence and culture - plus the Parido Verde, Centro Democratic and major corporations - not to mention popular culture, there is a deep vein of socialism running through the Millenial generation here. I live in the Coffee Axis - which is the biggest coffee producing region, also a significant amount of national agriculture is grown/produced/processed here.

It is cool that you receive support from your participation.

It actually is, I felt good.

The next couple of months will definitely be challenging and interesting.

We are all hoping for a more positive second half to 2020.
