Real Madrid - Barcelona

So today was the day of an interesting match in Spain - Real Madrid-Barcelona, seems that this is the most interesting league game in the world, actually it doesn't interest me much I am a Real Sociedad de San Sebastian fan since 1979 so I don't care that much for these two teams, actually I dislike both of them, Real Madrid more.

The thing is here in Honduras, well at least in La Ceiba these two teams especially Barcelona have a huge following but unfortunately the game was not available on cable TV you could only watch it via SKY, and very few people do have access to it.

But there are a few bars around my neighborhood that do have SKY and boy these places were packed, you know it is a Saturday so most people are out drinking but add to that the game and it was payday for bars who were able to show the game.

Not me, I walked to the mall was there for a while and then went home, on the way I heard a sudden huge shout and I just knew Barcelona had scored, you see I think Barcelona fans outnumber Real Madrid fans by about 4 to 1, so any Barcelona goal is liable to be more noisy. And yes it was a Barcelona goal, in fact that was the only goal, Barcelona won 1-0.

Now I was actually rooting for Real Madrid which I absolutely don't like, but I figures if they won it would be easier to make fun of Barcelona fans as they are so many more but I will have to make do with the few people who are Real Madrid fans, I guess I will have some fun.

You see that is the bright side of not being a fan of either of the two regardless who wins I can still have fun with the fans of the losing team, and that is why I like it when these games happen.
