Calling Out To Our Extended Community: We Have Free Food For You/We Need A New Fridge!
Serving 40,000 free meals a year requires a massive volume of food; we normally run 3 refrigerators and 2 deep freezers year round to accommodate it all!
Yet our electric bill is less than $40 a month for our whole community.
We utilize second-hand equipment to #1 recycle and #2 keep our costs down which gives us more to help others, so our appliances already have a bit of wear and tear.
Unfortunately, not one but TWO of our fridges recently stopped working.
We are reaching out to our extended community and making this post for 2 reasons:
1) We have an abundance of food to move. If you are hungry, or if you know someone who is hungry, please come by the GOE and we will give you some food!
2) We need 1-2 new fridges (new to us, anyway)!
Always grateful for the support of the greater community in making this world a better place. I love how easy and abundant life can be when we share what we have with each other.
Sharing is caring!
Thank you so much for your generous work. We will donate to your new fridge fund. Re-Steemed!
Thank you for your support, @jaimelee!
@steemittalk podcast brought me here. Resteemed.
Thanks @seablue! We appreciate your support, and thanks for giving us a heads up about the podcast!
Thank you,
BTW: This is a prime example of why I don't think the reward curve should change...
Thankfully we're still in beta and can figure out a system that makes the most sense for the platform before world domination.
I have a fridge I could give you in Kansas, but you'll have to come get it.
Thanks @garthfreeman! We'll see if we know of anyone headed our way from Kansas that could pick it up.

Thank you!
