5 LIFE LESSONS FROM ALBERT EINSTEIN
This brilliant man is well-known even to those who were never interested in physics. He fascinates us through his impressive personality first and then through his status [as a savant].
However, his personal qualities and his views on life have significantly defined his career in science. What useful things can we have from here? I have chosen 5 key ideas to share with you.
His biography gets to be most often more overwhelming than his contribution in science. Creative savant that has truly caused a revolution in physics, the pacifist that was PRO atomic bombs and later realized the truth and recognized his mistake, the father of the theory of relativity, the man who had a critical opinion over quantum mechanics - Albert Einstein.
His history and life is incredible really, and this contradictory nature makes his a hero of the twentieth century. Einstein overcame all the representations of authority and dogmatism, wanting just to live, to think and act, following his own intuition.
His independence is truly a life lesson to all of us. What else can we learn from this genius? Here are Einstein's 5 key-ideas:
1. Universal spirituality
Starting with his first researches, Einstein claimed that the universe possesses a strong spirituality. The human spirit can determine the laws of celestial mechanics and the fall of the bodies, just to find them again in nature. This "miraculous" coincidence is not at all haphazard, and even more so, it is an evidence that we are subjected to total transcendence.
He maintained that the universe is not a creation of a deity, but it is itself a DIVINITY! The universe becomes a "God" or a wise old man in Spinoza's vision. Scientific research becomes a spiritual practice, physics becomes metaphysical. Throughout his life, Einstein has not ceased to proclaim the spiritual significance of his scientific work.
2. The power of perfection
The deified universe can not obey any law except for the perfect laws. This notion of perfection is hardly perceived by those who are not part of the world of science. However, why do we need a scientific theory? To relate it to reality and make predictions based on it that will be proven as correct.
Einstein wanted more - perfect intellectual structures, which are based on simple principles and some clearly-articulated cause-effect relationships. His suggestion was to abandon the "appropriate" assumptions that gives us a realistic but insufficient explanation. Error - bad, the truth is wonderful.
For example, physicists are constantly using Newton's principles and the law of universal attraction he formulated, in their writings. Einstein, however, questioned this theory because he saw a conceptual weakness in it. He thought it was ugly, and therefore false. Thus, a new revolutionary theory emerged - The Theory of Relativity.
3. First of all - THE IDEA
Man can not be limited only to the study of the universe, he must think and analyze it. Science should not be based on an inductive way of thinking: first the facts, then the idea. Therefore, Einstein chose the deductive method: first the theory, then the argumentation with facts. For him, the theory is the first and the foremost.
4. Rationality - the only peaceful weapon
The universal light - RATIONALITY - must lead the world. Einstein believed that man must be rational and reasonable in his philosophical and political choice. These benefits derived from reason, he said, denies violence in all its forms.
Einstein was a fierce pacifist, and only the fear of the Nazi nuclear weapon made him briefly the atom bomb supporter. So, we should resolve conflicts by reason, not by physical strength, since common sense is always militant for collective solidarity, and not for division.
5. Man - the citizen of the world
The whole humankind is participating in the universal cosmic order. This is the true order of things. All men are the same. Different nations, tribes, religions that share the world are just a necessity to hierarchize the society in order to survive.
This universalism has prompted Einstein to proclaim himself a citizen of the world. Einstein joined the Zionist movement and became "the protector of the generation" against the Nazi system and the poisoning anti-Semitism.
