Few facts about life in Belarus
Dear Steemit users, what do you know about Belarus? I'm sure that some do not know where it is located.
Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Russia to the northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. Its capital and most populous city is Minsk. Over 40% of its 207,600 square kilometres (80,200 sq mi) is forested.
Now I will tell a couple of facts about life in Belarus.
- In our country there is free education and medicine. Anyone can ask for help in a hospital or go to school.
- For all time of independence of Belarus we had only one president( 1994 - present )
- Average salary of the population is 600$( In the capital, the salary is higher )
- Belarus still does not abolish the death penalty.
- In Belarusian food there are more than 300 dishes from potatoes
