The "I" syndrome is an enemy of corporate success. It us morally wrong to arrogate to oneself the success achieved through the team or corporate effort. Such actions dampen the morale of the team. And yet, this is quite common in business. Some bosses claim all the credit and blame others for the failures.
The important of acting in unison as a team is clearly underlined by God in Gensis Chapter 11:6 "...Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do".
Two points emerge from this verse:
a) God thwarted the effort of man in this regard because man challenged God
b) By implication any United human effort that does not challenge God has the potential of achieving what the visioners imagined

A support for the view is found in Deuteronomy 32:30 "How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them and the Lord had shut them up?"
That is why a wise leader shares success with his colleagues. Some even go further, they ascribe the success to their subordinates and reward them appropriately.
A leader must always bear in mind the adage that says "A Tree Cannot Make A Forest"
