Vlog #37: Steemit is a worldwide thing. And it's growing rapidly.
At the moment Steemit is like a big box where posts are thrown in and are only separated by tags.
Most of the posts that are trending are written in English but there is actually a lot of activity in other languages. Korean, Chinese and Spanish for instance.

I guess for me it's easier to see how much more active, bigger and stronger the Steem blockchain is today compared to a year ago. I saw it all unfold from July 2016 by being here every day since then.
From the scenario of total DOOM to the awesome growth of today where I believe the blockchain is now to solid to fail.
Steemit is a worldwide thing. And it's growing rapidly. 3700 new accounts created yesterday and we are nearing 700.000 transactions on the blockchain in one day.
When the signup procedure is perfected and communities arrive I'm expecting magical things. All you have to do is wait, blog and enjoy the ride. Having Steem tokens is something I recommend if you believe in the growth of the platform.
Steemfest 1 was already an international event. I'm expecting it to be even more nationalities this year. It truly will be something.
I was also asked if I had some tips for new people that join the platform. If you don't have time to watch the vlog (@6:25) it's basically this:
Blog every day, created what you enjoy creating and stick with. Don't ask for upvotes, don't be envious. Be active in the community and just have fun.

My bro! I've yet to come across a more insightful, helpful and down right useful vlog for newcomers to Steemit. Your advice about enjoying the platform and not forcing yourself to write just to please others is pure gold dust advice.
The three keywords here should be "fun, friendly and freedom". Sticking to those will yield a very positive experience here on Steemit. It's almost guaranteed!

Great incite on the growth potential of communities on Steemit. Just like you, everyone I know that knows about Steemit is b/c of I've told them, and I imagine most users at this point have that same scenario, so I absolutely agree we are still in the very beginning stages. Very exciting when you think of just how much Steemit can grow and how much better it can get. Boggles the mind a bit when you think about it.
Incredible advice on blogging about what you love and just doing it every day. When you're doing something you really enjoy it doesn't feel like work, and you go that extra mile to make sure it's really, really good b/c you care about it. In essence, if you build, they will come. Provide great content that has value to others and the rest will take of it's self. Great post as always and have a great day! :)

I think you are totally missing the point here. Steemit goes beyond a social media platform that exists solely to make a quick buck. Steemit is a blockchian-based social medial platform that rewards its members for their MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTIONS to the community. Think for a moment, in our worldly societies, information is worth millions, same applies to Steemit. Meaningful, quality contributions by member are valued and are rewarded. This brings in more members and the platform (community) becomes stronger and stronger. As the author says Steemit is going global and in future may indeed transcends individual governments on our world. Which may indeed revolutionize geo-politics, economies and societies as we know today. I suggest you invest some time in reading the Steem whitepaper authored by Daniel Larimer et. al.
Steemit is one of the best social networking sites in the world and it is only time when it hits mass adoption. The fact that it is able to handle so many transactions without lagging is one of the main reason it will succeed faster than alot of the blockchains out there. The low barrier of entry and reward system will make facebook and other social netowrking sites look like crap. It Steemit will eventually become the biggest social networking platform and its only a matter of time. I m so lucky to be here and no more facebook for me because Steemit is way better!!!

It wouldn't surprise me if Asian cultures adopted Steemit faster than anywhere else. China/Korea/Japan already dominate various crypto markets.
When I see non-English blogs here, it reminds me of how quickly Steemit could expand globally, since it already has footholds outside of western countries.
When people ask me what's a good entry price for buying STEEM, I simply refer them to these graphs.
I believe that with easy signups and communities (and maybe even different front ends for them) rapid growth will happen (if we are not seeing it already). It's very exciting times at the moment. Those graphs are awesome. thanks!
From someone who has been here a fraction of the time as you @exyle, I can still see the influence of a platform that is generating from many nations across the globe. It truly feels amazing to be a part of an organization that you can benefit from financially and at the same time stand behind in terms of how you achieved those finances. Let's all keep up the great positive vibes and only good things will come our way👍
Yes, Steemit is doing very well. Im here for a while too, and I see a real community growing that I didn't find anywhere else. When the Steem price was around 0.10 USD I kept using the platform, just for fun because the rewards were not worth it.
Now the last month the rewards become really relevant and the community is very positive. It is fun and rewarding now and the fundamentals of Steemit are getting better every day, even if the price isn't rising anymore. Hope the previous ATH will get broken soon, and the rocket get launched to the moon!

Really good post @exyle ! What I like about it is that you don't fake it, you just tell everyone who want to join this community that it is going to take time and effort.. Like you said, it is just like in real life, you have to put in the work in order to get recognized by your peers and eventually earning good money! The best advice of yours in this video is that everybody should post about what they truly love and not some trending subjects just to make money. I will add that you're only at your best when you do what you love guys, so just be yourself and enjoy the ride ! Thanks for sharing my friend !

Definitely agree. Steemit is going viral. It's just a great social media platform where you get paid. When Steemit becomes mainstream, it will be unbelievable. A great opportunity for everyone
