Vlog 298: Hiring people on the blockchain. Paying for knowledge with STEEM.

in #life7 years ago

Today I have an appointment with @teamhumble about improving the way my content looks.

He knows a lot about videos and streaming and how to make it look good and I don't. (I tried to learn but there is just too much).

So I hired him to teach me and give me advice. He accepts STEEM and SBD. Pretty cool.

Again this is the blockchain of opportunity.

I believe paying for knowledge or skills is still under-utilised on the blockchain and this option should be explored by anyone that has a skill to offer.

After all, the customer base is growing everyday. (yesterday, 9721 accounts here ) and there is no better blockchain out there to get in contact with each other than this one.

I talk about it more in my vlog.

ps. The stream I refer too is by @chansetheguy = here

I am a witness with our developer group @blockbrothers for the Steem blockchain. If you want to support us I would appreciate your vote here.

We build Steemify a notification app for your Steemit account for iOS.

Greetings, exyle

You put a good idea for us here !!!

Perhaps a system can be created so that the person can sell some kind of service here. An ad page maybe?

The person would write in this place what she knows how to do well, how it would be useful to people and who wanted to, would make a kind of automatic payment, already falling into her account. Then the users who bought would make an evaluation of her service, to let others know if she did a good job ...

I do not understand anything about programming, but would such an idea be difficult to implement?

Thanks for the text and good morning !!!!

Cool. Have you had a look at https://www.steemgigs.org/ ?

I've been using it from before there was a UI. That's how I connected with @airmatti to get my @steemtradecards designed.

No! I'll check it out. Thanks!

pumped to be working with you. i even sent you a steem MEMO to confirm the appointment (as well as discord!)

Thanks for all the help today, man! I learned a lot. Looking forward to the next session when I have my gear.

you are very welcome! look forward to more chats! :)

Upvote animation, sound and TTS

@exyle I'm glad you noticed my program on @chansetheguy. I made a window with upvote animation and Text To Speach engine for stremers. It's free, You can use it on Your streams as well :-)

That's awesome!

Just got across here, don't really know much about you, but hearing that you're a steem witness got me spurred, i haven't voted for a witness in a while, i guess i'll drop one of my votes for you.

Thanks for the support!

The world is at work....The number of freelancers are exploding worldwide...Labor marketplaces are created around connecting these buyers and sellers , and buyers of skills need a platform where they can Trust while transacting with freelancers with more convenience, efficiency and safety, and provide quick & easy payment solutions as well.. Blockchain solves all these issues, hence STEEM Blockchain will be a huge market for these services.

i kinda like this blog post on that subject -- give it a read -- https://levels.io/future-of-digital-nomads

He will probably mention to use a tripod too. ;)
Anyway, very cool to hire him.

Exyle, do you think something positive will happen to the Steem price?
(We need 18k more subs to reach 1 million subscribers.)

I don't think it will influence the price much but it's a very cool milestone for the blockchain.

Well I think the best and faster way to make steem a currency that everyone would want to trade with is by making everyone join into the steemit moving train. Right now I have friends who I have been able to onboard and most of them are merchants and have shops where they sell various things. Whenever I go to buy a commodity from them, I pay them in steem and collect what I want. Why is this possible? This is possible because they understand how blockchain works. A commodity that they have been able to see for 5,000 today can become 10,000 next week and that's like making times two of what you would have made if we had used Fiat for the transaction .

Not many understand this and most times it's difficult to explain and so the best is to get them on the moving train and let them see things for themselves .

Man, that's cool!

That is super cool to hire @teamhumble and am sure you will learn a lot from him. If you check the hashtag 'steemgigs' you can find lots of other steemians offering to perform various gigs/tasks and they accept payment in steem/SBD. I have seen different things from graphic designers, website developers to even hair dressers. I think this is a way to share our talents, help others and grow the platform for common good :)

I saw your comment asking him for help :D
He seems to be a great guy, immediately disponibilized himself to help you.
Steemit and STEEM blockchain is full of knowledge from any different area, and we have the advantage of easily get in touch with each other, like you said.

I´ve watched some of your streams and I think you are doing fine, but obviously, transitions and some fancy stuff helps a lot to interact and keep the viewers entertained, even when you have to leave to the bathroom or whatever.
