I opened a dedicated Steemit bankaccount to show new users Steemit earnings are real!
I have been in crypto for five years, so crypto has been real money for me for a long time. But I know many are just arriving and learning about crypto now through Steemit.
I decided to open a dedicated bank account at a Dutch online bank to make it more real for some.

Yesterday, for the first time in almost a year since joining Steemit, I allowed myself to get some Steem dollars out.
Normally I would have bought more STEEMPOWER with this.
I want to celebrate Bianca's return by taking her out for a nice dinner tonight and tell her about the amazing changes Steemit is going trough and I thought it would be nice to pay for this with earnings from Steemit.
This is what the account looks like in the bank app.
I took some time to give the account a dedicated STEEM theme.
I converted SBD to Bitcoin and then I used a company in the Netherlands called Bitonic for the last step.
They charge a small fee to convert Bitcoin to Euro but I get convenience back in return. For me, that's worth it.
Because the STEEM price has gone up so much the 470 SBD that I converted resulted in almost €750,- or $840,-

What do you think about Wirex for non SEPA european country? I want to convert BTC to EURO but fees besides Wirex are bloodthirsty. And it seems they have a plastic card too.

That's nice to be able to reward yourselves with the dedication u had with steemit up to this point. Could u please explain a littlebit more about the use of the app how it works? I'm from the netherlands as well and it would be great to be able to use is myself.

The app is from a Dutch bank called Bunq. They only exist online. The App allows you to create accounts up to 10. I made one and called it Steemit. As far as banks go they are not bad. I recommend you check them out.
