Vlog 221: Weiss Rating Report #4 + Chinese new year? + Steem powerdown statistics.
For the last 4 years the BTC price recovered around the Chinese new year and it seems this year it's not an exception for now.
I'm not sure if we can talk of a pattern yet after just 4 years but BTC sure is looking nice around $10800.
Weiss Rating
The new Weiss Rating report came out this week. STEEM is still a B- and three new crypto's have found there way into the B category. Two new, one old one.
LISK, DECRED and EOS are now B-
About 3-4 pages are dedicated to STEEM and why it gets such a good rating.
Since so many cryptocurrencies currently get “C”s and “D”s right now, there’s a big focus on Steem. That’s because it is one of the few on our list that gets a good rating.

Power down Statistics - 17-02-2018
The steemit account has stopped powering down for now and that means that the amount of STEEM powered down next week will be 82% less compared to this week.
I'm putting this screenshot here so I can reference to it in the upcoming weeks.

Bitcoin seriously needs to get upgraded otherwise ethereum is always going to win .. Bitcoin is slow and takes hell lot of time to do things on it

The Bitcoin value fell as low as $6000 recently , many predicted the demise of Bitcoin . Be that as it may, Bitcoin is back above $10,000 and continues moving upwards. There was a considerable measure of FUD about goings on in South Korea, which ended up being a false caution with respect to a potential boycott. Essentially, in India, there was standard error of a spending discourse. Now we can expect things to be back to bullish and celebrate Happy Chinese New Year!
I hope the trend will continue. I still want to see a little more before I changed my investment tactic. (I'm not buying atm).

It is definitely a good news that people are not powering down and one possible reason could be increase in the price of bitcoin so now they now it is more profitable and in future they can make a lot of money as compared to now.

I heard people saying it would fall as low as 2K encore going up . I’m glad to see that it only touched around 6K before rising up. Now with the band being taken off , it’s finally showing signs of progress .
For Steem , we aren’t gonna be able to afford it soon. Better to switch over sbd to Steem while we can
Excellent review, my friend and the fact that the STEEM is consistently in a good rating, gives us more confidence and stability! As for Bitcoin, you are right, the price increase begins and I think that Bitcoin should pull up all the coins and the STEEM is not an exception! Thank you Mark.

many has thought bitcoin would never rise again due to the last crash it had and i have some of my friends who started selling their out some of their coin, i told them to hold on for a while as it would recover and true to my words, that has happened.

Every year when the Chinese New Year approaches the BTC It has a bearish tendency, this year the bearish imput was superior to other years, here there was a three factors convolution, the Chinese New Year, the prohibition of the criptomoedas in india and the uncertainty in china.
If the Bitcoin keeps the trend of other years, now it does not stop until its next peak, as I said earlier my estimate would be $ 40,000
