Yeah mate you are totally right. In modern societies IQ is what people refer to when they talk about intelligence whereas it is more complicated than that.

As you showed in your article, Emotional intelligence (empathy)+IQ are keys of sucess. But there is a theird key which is Focus intelligence. Without it you can't reach you true goals...
