New on steemit - my story :)
After speaking to my husband @jacuzzisurfer and reading couple really cool introduction stories on steemit I decided to write one too.
It’s very weird to describe your life. I feel like some parts didn’t even happen to me but happened to someone else and I was just a part of it, a witness.
I consider myself very lucky and I’m grateful for everything that’s happened to me, the good and the bad. But let’s start at the beginning...
I was born in Karkow, Poland and had a really cool childhood. The one with no phones, computers and games but more of running around till we couldn’t run anymore, climbing trees, riding bikes, playing hide & seek and being up to no good for the most of part of it. I’m lucky to have an amazing family, both parents that love each other very much and a sister that used to annoy the heck out of me where we were younger but is now my best friend and the better part of me.

Being in Poland I followed the path of many of my friends, went to college, got a job, but I always wanted something more, something different. I wanted to explore the world, travel, and speak English. So I bought a one way ticket and went to...New York.
It’s love at first sight. I lived in NY for almost 13 years. It’s where I grew up, became an adult, a woman. It’s where I loved and have my heart broken, it’s where I met friends for life and got stabbed in the back. It’s where I learned how to be tough, how to be independent, how to survive. It’s where I learned who I am and who I want to be. After 13 years thou I was craving something more. I met this incredible girl Anya, who was emerging on a two week road trip to California. And I thought why not? When am I gonna get an opportunity to travel thru America. We knew each other couple weeks and decided to take this journey together. It’s one of the best experiences of my life. Two weeks of exploring beautiful places, constant laughs and making a friend for life (I will post a blog about our trip in the future).
I came to San Diego and the rest is history. Two months after I got here I met my husband. We got married on September 16, 2017 and my life couldn’t be better.

You just have to remember that when one door closes the other one opens. Be a good person, be grateful, be open minded and not be afraid to take risks. Life is beautiful. I’m still continuing my journey but now I have a partner next to me. To be continued...

Thank you!
Fun story, there's a story in every east-to-west trip isn't there?
But more importantly, which topic will you be focusing when writing on Steemit?
