It's your life: be responsible for it

We ran into some turbulence on our flight and virtually everyone on board was scared half to death as the plane circled for nearly an hour. When we landed, everyone was sharing their experiences as we queued at the immigration desk.
One lady spoke up and said "I knew everything would be fine because there was an Oracle on board". I was momentarily confused. Huh? Oracle? What's that? She went on to explain that there was a certain Man of God/ Clergy/ Minister on the plane. I stared at her in shock.
In a life and death situation, she had abandoned her faith to another man. She had lost faith in her faith.
I tell this story because it's amazing how many don't take personal responsibility for their safety, their health, their manner of life and of course their prosperity. I don't deny men have a part to play in our lives but you have a much greater part!
Do you want to succeed? Are you really sure you want to succeed? Then take personal responsibility.
You take personal responsibility when you do something about your life and your success... Read that book. Know God for yourself. Study that subject. Take that course. Update that résumé. Ask those questions. Find out everything about that industry. Observe the markets. Discover what customers want and match your products to their needs. Don't take no for an answer. Don't be a pushover.
Don't play the blame game. Decide that come hell or high water, you will succeed. No excuses. That is the spirit that conquers.
Its your life. Take personal responsibility for it.
