Dumpster Findings: Clarisonic Products
What is a dumpster but a heap of trash, food waste, and plastic? You'd be surprised.
America is a land of many opportunities, but it also stands as a land of wasteful attitudes towards many perfectly good objects. Enter the dumpster diver. This series's purpose is to display the treasures that one man's located in the trash of others, showing the interesting and weird treasures hidden just beneath the surface of the layman's lesser domain.
Clarisonic Face Brushes
Now, this was a surprise. You hear stories about perfectly good beauty products found in Ulta dumpsters, but not usually products that run for upwards of $100! There was no downside to this, they were tester brushes in a cardboard box with two unused, freshly packaged brush heads, along with a charger for each brush. There was:
Two Clarisonic Brush Heads
$35
Clarisonic Pedi
Around $100 Online
Clarisonic Plus
Out of Production, but still goes for around $80 online
Clarisonic Mia
Around $130 online
Clarisonic Opal w/ Extra Heads
$70
Included in this haul was a Clarisonic Smart Profile Brush ($212) and a Clarisonic Mia 2 ($100), but I gave those to my girlfriend and mom before I could photograph them.
Facial and Body Products
Now, the brushes weren't all we found in this haul, there was also a multitude of makeup and bodily care products stuffed into this box. We suspect the employees were keeping this for themselves, because the amount of perfectly good testing products thrown away in this box was ridiculous.
There was a ton of makeup products in this haul, but that all's been divvied out by now. I'll just show the things I kept, which is impressive enough on it's own.
Lancome Energie de Vie Facial Cleanser
$35 online
Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask
$18 online
Vichy Cellu Destock
$30 online
Clarisonic Opal Anti-Aging Serum
$50 online
Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Turbo Face Serum
Around $100 online
Now, these are just the ones I got to keep, as you can see here, we overloaded ourselves with high class bodily care products by simply taking the time to look in a container of trash
For free, we attained over $1,000 worth of relatively high-end merchandise, and now my face is looking smoother than ever :D
There's many more finds where this came from, dumpster diving is an intriguing world full of mystery and surprises, and I'm happy you're taking this trip with me.

I love dumpster diving! I have found so much merchandise to resell that way! It is amazing how much waste there is by big companies and individuals!
Exactly! It's my all-time favorite way to make spending cash, whether or not you find something you always feel like you're doing something amazing and adventurous :D
If you have more haul photo-shoots or videos post them up. I love watching those on youtube. :) The other day I found a bunch of vera wang and other designer clothing that was left next to a dumpster. I'll take some shots on my next trip and post them as well. :)
So awesome! This mother couldn't be any more proud of how well you do! I still remember our very first dumpster run together, sigh so happy you are carrying on the pirate life!!:-)
Haha I'm glad I am too, It's always a little rush to find something useful!
